East Mississippi Community College collected 16 hits in a 10-2 run-rule win in the opening game to claim a home baseball doubleheader split with East Central during Sunday’s MACJC action at Gerald Poole Field.  The Lions then let a 4-1 lead slip away in dropping a 7-5 nightcap decision to the Warriors.

An eight-run second inning lifted East Mississippi Community College to a 12-0 run-rule victory over Holmes in the opening game of Wednesday’s MACJC baseball doubleheader played at Charlie Donald Field.  The home-standing Bulldogs earned the twin-bill split with a 10-3 win over the Lions in the nightcap.

Big offensive outing earns EMCC Lions doubleheader baseball split at Copiah-Lincoln

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College pounded out 15 hits in a 13-11 road win over Copiah-Lincoln to earn an MACJC baseball doubleheader split Saturday afternoon at Sullivan Field.  The Wolves claimed the nightcap with an 8-4 victory over EMCC.

Matt Inlow’s two-out, walk-off RBI single gave East Mississippi Community College an 8-7 nightcap home win over Shelton State Community College during Tuesday evening baseball action at Gerald Poole Field.  The visiting Bucs claimed a 7-4 victory over the Lions in the opening game of the doubleheader.

EMCC freshman Jaxen Forrester earns NJCAA Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors

East Mississippi Community College freshman right-hander Jaxen Forrester has earned national honors as the NJCAA Division II Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his three-hit, complete-game shutout against the University of West Alabama’s junior varsity team.  He also received state recognition as the MACJC Pitcher of the Week.

Freshman Jaxen Forrester’s complete-game shutout lifted East Mississippi Community College to a road baseball doubleheader split with the University of West Alabama’s junior varsity team Wednesday afternoon at Tartt Field.  The Lions’ 2-0 nightcap win earned the split after they dropped a 13-2 decision to the Tigers in the opening game.

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College exploded for a dozen sixth-inning runs to claim a 15-5 win over visiting Southwest Tennessee Community College, while earning a baseball doubleheader split during Tuesday’s home season opener at Gerald Poole Field.  EMCC dropped a 14-4 decision to the Saluqis in the nightcap.

EMCC to open 2018 baseball slate at Northwest Florida State College-hosted tournament

For the fifth consecutive year, the East Mississippi Community College baseball team will open its season at the Northwest Florida State College-hosted Max Bruner Classic Friday and Saturday (Feb. 2-3) in Niceville, Fla.  Pairing the same teams as a year ago, the EMCC Lions will take on both Enterprise State (Ala.) and host NWF State each day of the tournament.
