SCOOBA — East Mississippi Community College will conduct a Mini Cheer Camp on Sunday, Oct. 12, on the Scooba campus.
Open to children between the ages of 5-12, EMCC's cheer camp will take place at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum beginning with a 2:30 p.m. registration. The scheduled three-hour camp will begin at 3 p.m. A camp showcase put on by the camp participants for family and friends, which will include a sideline dance, cheers, and basic stunt skills, will conclude the day's activities around 6 p.m.
The $50 camp cost per participant includes snacks, a camp T-shirt, and one ticket to the Lions' Oct. 16 home football game against Pearl River Community College. Camp participants, who will learn material that will incorporate all aspects of cheerleading, are slated to perform camp material with EMCC's 2025-26 cheerleading team during the EMCC-PRCC football game to be played at Sullivan-Windham Field on the Scooba campus.
EMCC cheer camp payment must be made in cash only, and the deadline for registration is Oct. 5.
