The Lions of East Mississippi Community College made their mark on the NJCAA men’s basketball scene this past weekend by knocking off traditional powerhouse Vincennes University by double figures and taking nationally third-ranked John A. Logan College down to the wire in the VU-hosted McDonald’s Classic played at the Physical Education Complex on the Vincennes campus.
The visiting EMCC Lions opened the new week with a 64-55 road win over the Holmes Bulldogs during Monday's MACCC men's basketball action played at Frank Branch Coliseum in Goodman.
The East Mississippi Community College basketball teams successfully tipped off their respective 2021-22 seasons with a home doubleheader sweep Monday night at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum. Following the Lady Lions’ decisive 80-51 win over Holmes, the Lions capped the night by claiming a hard-earned 74-71 men’s victory over Copiah-Lincoln.
East Mississippi Community College will tip off its 2021-22 basketball season with a home doubleheader against different MACCC foes Monday evening (Nov. 1) on the Scooba campus. EMCC’s Lady Lions will take on the Holmes Lady Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Lions entertaining the Copiah-Lincoln Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.
