The fifth-ranked Lions of East Mississippi Community College secured a share of their 10th MACCC North Division football title since 2008 with Thursday’s 52-6 home victory over the visiting 15th-ranked Coahoma Tigers at EMCC’s Sullivan-Windham Field.
On the heels of their successful return to action following a 22-month hiatus from football competition, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College are set to make their 2021 gridiron road debut Thursday evening (Sept. 9) against the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears. Kickoff in Summit is slated for 7 p.m. at John I. Hurst Stadium on the SMCC campus.
In their long-awaited return to the gridiron, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College used a strong defensive effort to post a season-opening 32-7 home victory over East Central Community College during Thursday’s MACCC football action played at EMCC’s Sullivan-Windham Field.
